After action report -- First Bass Lesson.

Well let me start off by saying that I am just in awe at the skill that some people have, and can only hope to one day have that kind of skill.

I had my first bass lesson on Wednesday night, with a quick three-mile half marathon training run afterwards (thats another story), with my bass instructor. For those that know me I have been ecstatic about this since my instructor is Eric Grossman of K's Choice fame. Didn't even know that he lived in St. Louis, so imagine my surprise when I got a message from him on a local bass players board in which I posted that I was looking around for help.

An hour later I left with a much better understanding of the neck on my bass and positions of the notes across the fret board. Went home with some excellent exercises and work to practice on, and hopefully a month down the road I will have made some good progress for our next lesson.
